Welcome to the Swedish Association of Women’s Shelters!
The Swedish Association of Women’s Shelters, SKR, is a national organization for local women’s shelters and other organizations that work against men’s violence towards women. It is a non-profit, non-denominational and politically independent organization.
Below you can find links to women’s organizations with multilingual competence. They offer help and advice in several different languages.

Somaya
Somaya women's shelter will help you if you have been physically and/or mentally abused, threatened, harassed, raped. Here you will find help in more than 9 languages and you can remain anonymous.
Terrafem
Terrafem has a national helpline for immigrant women of all ages. The helpline offers support in about 35 languages.
Elektra
Elektra offers support to younger women in several languages.
Women Against Violence Europe - WAVE Network
The WAVE Database is a comprehensive database which is continuously up-dated. Here you can find addresses of women's organizations and experts working in the field in Europe, support services for victims of domestic violence, research on violence against women.
Hot Peach Pages
The Hot Peach Pages web site provides information on abuse in as many of the world's languages as possible, along with lists of abuse help agencies. They do not provide direct service but you can search the web site for the agencies closest to you, and contact them for information and support.
