Wilderness Permits

The rules for obtaining permits vary from agency to agency. Some allow you to get permits by phone or fax and others require they be obtained by mail. Also the times when permits can be obtain and the maximum group size vary. The following table shows the responsible agency and basic rules for the most common areas the troop hikes in.
