Troop CommitteeAll parents are encouraged to attend the monthly Troop Committee meetings. Attendance ensures your views on Troop planning and policies will be considered, and also ensures your acquisition of up-to-the-minute scheduling information. Meetings are held the last Thursday of every month at American Martyrs Church at 7:30 pm. Who We AreThe Troop is sponsored by Manhattan Parents for Scouting. This is a group of South Bay parents, just like yourselves, who support Scouting. You are invited to join this group of parents by coming to the Troop Committee meetings. There is no cost. When & WhereThe Troop Committee generally meets at 7:30 pm on the last Monday of the month at American Martyrs Church, 624 15th Street, Manhattan Beach. The exact meeting room varies from month to month between the School Hall, Parish House, Brigid and Brendan Rooms, and Blessed Kateri Room. All parents are encouraged to come, find out what is going on, and get involved. You can join the Troop Committee by simply indicating your desire to be a member. It is parent participation that makes Troop 849 go. Find something that you can do and then do it! Typical AgendaThe meeting is broken into two parts. The first part deals with pressing matters.
Then we'll discuss:
